A glass story

Dear Everyone~

I wanted to let you know that this Sunday opens an art show featuring eight glass artists~ including me.

While I was blowing glass full force between 1997 and 2012 “the creme de la cremes” were pieces that you, the public, never saw.  Pieces that unveiled new techniques, new color, shape, or when I just plain “shocked myself” (as Beato would say), I would add the work to my own collection~  When asked to participate in this benefit for the Beato Studio I decided to let go of these “creme de la cremes”~ They are up for show and sell.

Beginning with silica sand, soda, potash, and lime~ mixed with tons of resources~ sweat~ tears~ time~ and a lot of love~  this show is an outcome of what I believe the purest form of alchemy~

The ultimate alchemy of glass.

And to all of you who have supported me through and through, how grateful I am to you for constantly reminding me of that which is an even truer form of alchemy than glass making~

Love~

I, in all ways, thank you for that~  And don’t you forget it!

Hope to see you at the opening on Sunday November 24, 2-4~  show will be up through December 22
